My little tag system has begun to seem somewhat complex at a glance, so I thought I should make a brief post explaining them and how to use them.

Me: tags are to briefly note your most basic/important attributes -- sex/gender, sexuality, dom(me)/master/sub/slave/switch.

Seeking: tags are just that -- what you're looking for most.

Fetish: tags are to note the most important fetishes you're looking to satisfy, or discussing/asking questions about, in that particular post.

Fantasy: tags are to note what fantasy scenarios you're looking to play out, or discussing/asking about, in that particular post.

Topic: tags are generally for labelling non-Personal Ad posts as just that -- philosophy, advice, whatever.

Simple enough, right? If you need a tag that doesn't yet exist, go ahead and create it, but please stick to the format described, or else the whole thing will dissolve into useless chaos. Also, please try not to introduce redundancy (and help me eliminate it, too, if you notice any.)

Incidentally, some definitions as I use them, just so there's no confusion --

Dom versus Master: A dom(me) is a person who plays/feels the dominant/"giving" role in a BDSM encounter/relationship. A dom(me) is often but not always a sadist. A Master is someone who is explicitly interested in the Master/slave dynamic and is looking for a slave in addition to, or rather than, a sub. Many Masters are sadists, but not all.

Sub versus Slave: Accordingly, a sub is a person who plays/feels the submissive/"receiving" role in a BDSM encounter/relationship. A sub is usually but not always a masochist. A slave is someone who gets off on and/or otherwise enjoys playing the role of an actual servant or slave. Almost all slaves are masochists in some form or another.
